pkg-php-tools software package provides various packaging tools and scripts for PHP packages, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pkg-php-tools
pkg-php-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pkg-php-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pkg-php-tools *
You will get with pkg-php-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
